A faithful, safe response to Coronavirus

UPDATE MAY 22, 2020--With Dauphin County moving into Phase Yellow on May, 29, 2020, on site worship at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church will resume on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at 5 p.m. with Worship and Communion in the Nave (entrance off Rutherford or Wilhelm).

UPDATE MAY 21, 2020--In preparation for Dauphin County's eventual move into Phase Yellow, Council has communicated its recommendations for a return to on-site worship no earlier than May 31, 2020 (Pentecost) through a letter to the Congregation which may be viewed HERE.

UPDATE MAY 8, 2020--All on-site church services and activities are suspended through June 4, 2020 per Governor Wolf's May 7, 2020 directive.

Grace, peace, and mercy, be upon you!

Effective immediately, all services at Good Shepherd are suspended until March 27. This includes early and later Sunday services, Saturdays, Wednesday mornings, soup suppers, Wednesday vespers, and Sunday school.

We will worship together via Facebook Live and/or through another digital format. Information on that will be forthcoming. In the meantime, a pdf of our Sunday bulletin is attached for your reference and devotion.

During the week, I will be working remotely, as will our secretary, Beth. You can reach us via email. And, you are always welcome to call me.

Throughout the scriptures we are called to pay attention to people on the margins. Pray for those who are ill. Be patient with one another. Consider our neighbors who are being economically impacted by this pandemic, including people who cannot work because their children need to stay at home. Pray for our healthcare workers and for our government that they will continue to use their positions to care for everyone.

Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled.
